A Bridge Too Far

I recently watched the movie A Bridge Too Far on one of the cable channels. I had forgotten how much I loved this film. The movie centers on the the Allied offensive in Holland in WWII, Operation Market-Garden, and the battle for Arnheim.

With Memorial Day approaching movies such as A Bridge Too Far and Saving Private Ryan should remind us to thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice. Both of these films are available at the library.

History Channel DVDs

For the history buff the library stocks the series "The History Channel Ultimate Collections: World War II."

Covering both the European and Pacific areas of operations, this series provides the viewer with great insight into the military leaders and great battles of World War II.
